Cairo – Mubasher: The Saudi Elaj Group for Medical Services on Tuesday announced that it acquired 74% of the shares of the Egyptian Cairo Lab Clinical Laboratory, worth EGP 36 million.

The Saudi group purchased the shares owned Mohsen Abu Al Ghar and his daughters, in a pursuit to expand to the Egyptian local market, especially with growth opportunities in the sector, according to Almal newspaper, citing sources as saying.

Cairo Lab is currently going through administrative restructuring, while hiring new professionals, aiming to expand into new territories and increase the number of its branches from the current 35 branches, sources added.
